- Spinning wheel (here: Minnesänger)
- Jumbo Flyer / Great Flyer – We used the Minstrel Great Flyer, as it is perfect for art yarn. Its huge orifice and capacity ensure a comfortable workflow and numerous possibilities, handling even the craziest art yarn with ease. You can also use a standard Jumbo Flyer.
- Leading Thread – It should be strong enough to resist the tension and can be thin.
- Thicker yarn in the colors of your choice – This will create a more visible layer for your art yarn.
- Niddy Noddy
Instructions:
- Ply the Yarns:
- Follow the video tutorial for plying the yarns.
- Remember to turn your wheel to the left while plying.
2. Finish the Yarn:
- Wind your art yarn onto the Niddy Noddy.
- Secure the yarn with threads in 3-4 places.
- Remove the art yarn from the Niddy Noddy and wash it in warm water. Leave it to dry.
