Morse Code Pattern
This year Kromski was at Flock Fiber Festival in Seattle, WA. demonstrating our beautiful wheels and looms. Check it out! Flock
As part of the fun, we decided to make a Morse Code Scarf/Shawl with the secret message “Flock 24”. If you were at the show, then you will have had the opportunity to see this simple, yet exciting use of color to spell out our message.
We used a 16″ Harp Forte and some light sock yarn along with the 10 dent heddle.
Another version of the same pattern is shown below. For this example we used Orange as the dots and dashes, Yellow between the dots and dashes, Brown to separate the letters and Grey to separate the words and for the borders. Grey was also used for the weft. We tried to match the Flock 24 logo on this one.
You may have seen this at the show too.
Just think what a fun gift this would make for that someone special, with a message only they would realized was hidden in plain sight! So many possibilities.
There are several Morse Code translators found online, making the design easy to create. Why not make one today?
